stock gearing would put you at about 203 at 6000rpm, which would mean at 6600rpm you are lookin at 220+

however, with 4.10 gears, at 6600rpm you would be at 193mph

i believe ya...i was goin bout 160 in mine when i had 4.10s and stock TB...had PLENTY of go left in her. now i hit 130 in seconds like its nothing, kinda addicting

 

I've been to about 125 and the Hood shake was concerning me as well. Pretty fun though.

 

I've done 130 before I had to back off. That was a lot of fun. I didn't notice any hoodshake, but maybe because I was focusing on driving/looking for cops. Cops in San Antonio can be realy bitchy so I go out on I10 just far enough to leave SA city limits.

Heh, I passed this one state trooper going roughly 125 the other day. He was in on of those SUVs. He put his lights on and jumped on the highway and then turned them off and got back on the side of the road.

I had mine at around 135-138MPH, seemed like it had a limiter, it didn't redline but didn't want to go faster, RPMs must have been at 4K-5K, kinda weird. We'll see how it does after this weekend though!

140 before I backed off. Nervous about police and it seems when your going that fast if you don't keep the wheel perfectly straight your going to lose it. Any vehicle seems like that to me when your going that fast. Besides, I'm paranoid someone with a cellphone is going to see me do it and call the cops about it.

 

Yeah, I know a lot of people that actually do that.

 

Using my x-cal 2, I data logged my car w/ 100% throttle from a dead stop until I ran out of room. (afraid a trooper might be over the next hill) The datasheet said I reached 103mph.

 

I did 120 in a Stock Gt didn't see any hood shake but i wasn't to concerned about the hood.

What is the Speed limiter on a stock GT?
