Default Stripes or hood scoop?

My last mustang had racing stripes but this time i got a convertible, so not sure which would look better, racing stripes or a hood scoop? I am leaning towards a hood scoop but i really don't care for the rousch one. Stripes would cost about the same as a scoop so cost isn't a factor. Anyone have any pictures of any other types of hood scoopes, where did you find it and how much? Interested in your opinions. Also curious as to what you would think of the scoop being painted black being it is going on a screaming yellow convertible w/ black top, should it too be yellow?

I think it would look sweet with the scoop and the wing painted black and then add black wheels. I'm sure others here will say my taste is all in my mouth.

Do both, my Cervinis Ram Air hood is being painted as we speak. Once that is done being painted YELLOW, then my car goes in for 2 12" black stripes to be painted bumper to bumper with them going right through the 2 scoope on the hood.

Check out 3dCarbons hood scoop. You can find it painted at www.atlantamustang.com. Obviously, you could get it in factory black but I'm pretty sure if you call them, they'll paint it flat black for you. If it's a non-functional scoop you're wanting, definately go with a stick-on and not a bolt-on. Don't worry, when installed correctly, a stick-on isn't going anywhere. You could always paint stripes over the scoop. Just an idea. Anyway, the 3dCarbon is my favorite.

+1 to RemainVayne. The Cervini's ram air is a functional scoop, great looking hood and is wide enough for the stripes to go right over it. I would do both. Check it out here: Cervini's Ram Air Hood. It's the 5th one down from the top. -Joe

Do the scoop.........JMO, but stripes just don't do as much for a vert as they do for a coupe.

That could look pretty good also. But it should be part of a bigger scheme. Having that scoop be the only black component on a yellow car won't look just right. Here, I found this pic of someone who did what I'm talking about:
