After I installed my C&L intake and underdrive pullies, I put in a performance tune from my predator. I took it for a test drive and it seemed fine until I would floor it from a complete stop. It hesitated big time like it didn't know what to do. Do I have to give it time to learn the new programming or what?

By the way, everytime I hook the predator up it says it doesn't recognize the vehicle, but installs the programming just fine anyway.

I guess you have an auto, right? I have an auto with the C&L and SCT II tuner, mine does the opposite. Could it be that the tune you have has increased throtle lag instead of decreasing it? My tuner had no problems recognizing my car, it was almost too easy to add the 89 tune to my car! I don't know much about the Predator though, so I have no idea where your problem could be, kind of weird that it lets you program a vehicle it doesn't recognize.

So if you never got the C&L tune downloaded from the Diablo web site, what tune did you use? Just the standard Diablo performance tune? That tune is for a stock air delivery system, not a CAI delivery system.

Do yourself a favor and just be patient for another day until you can call Diablo about the C&L download instead of f*cking your car up.

You can get into the downloads section of the Diablo website if you use the Part # search feature instead of clicking on the mustang icon. Now, the problem for you is that they no longer offer the custom tunes on the website. You have to contact C&L and get the tune e-mailed from them. They did this a while back and I remember seeing where Diablo would refer you to the CAI manufacturer and the supercharger manufacturer for the accompanying tune. Not certain why they did it, but I can see where it could be an issue if people were downloading tunes that were not specific to their setup and loading them into the car. The Diablo site previously warned against this bigtime, but does that stop anyone? Hope that helps. Contact C&L for your specific tune.

Side note. C&L and others are selling packages with Predators that are pre populated with their specific tunes. Maybe that is why.
