Driving it like you stole it

RE: Driving it like you stole it
One of my coworkers saw me doing just that one day, then stopped by my office to tell she was happy to see that I drove the car the way it was meant to be driven!
I wouln't recommend that you do this EVERY time but once in a while should be fine. If I wanted to go slow I would have bought a Toyota Prius

Having owned a couple of Mustangs in my life...I was never easy on any of them. To be honest, Mustangs tend to take a beating better than any other car I've owned. My '99 saw redline launches with slicks on it. I powershifted it all the time. And constantly ran through the gears like there was no tomorrow.
I broke my Camaro twice in the first 6 months I owned it not being as hard as I was on the Mustangs. I wouldn't worry about your car at all. They're built to be driven like that. Don't be a pansy with it!

I think its ok to push them...just watch how you push them...they have redline for a reason...red means stop..lol, not keep on going. unless you have modds on your car. doing things like N drops and throwing the car in reverse then into drive to get a burnout and stuff like that not good. but maxing out gears are what these's cars are for.

No, I don't do stupid stuff with it like that lol. I need this car to last. It's my daily driver and I have a 6 year loan lol. It's just when I'm out cruising I can't help but mash the pedal sometimes . I'm just glad my automatic has a rev limiter so I can't get it to rev into the red. Perfect shifting.
