First car was a 67 stang. First ticket 99-55. Second ticket 88-55. Third Ticket 77-55. ( I was improving) I paid my own insurance, and learned to do my own repairs (heck, I had to- all my money went to insurance) I still have that car. When I die, they are going to have to dig one hell of a big grave, cause we are going under together.

i know there was a kid somewhere in my are that got a viper gts as his first car; no joke. and as fair as i know, never crashed it. I was told he got caough doing 110+ in front of the school and had to go to court.
my first car was a mark7, and then when i turned 18; i purschaed my first sport car; a 3000gt and i though that car was fast.(Im now 21 and cant wait to get my gt in)
I though my parnets were going to kill me when i came home w/ my first speeding ticket (70 in a 50)

mvm549, due to the fact mustangman doesn't have his license yet. All I can say is be careful as I totaled my first 4 banger when I was 16 (sadly).

First car was a 90 Ford bronco, had it for like 3 months, then right before my 17th birthday got a 1999 Mustang V6. 23rd Birthday got a 06 GT woot!

My "first" car was a 1990 Bronco Eddie Bauer edition. It was really my dads but I drove it for 6 months. Now my real first car I bought is a 2000 GT Vert which I purchased from my dad which I just officially got this week. I turn 18 in two weeks.
My dad got an 06' GT Vert, and that thing is a beast. Amazing how much of a difference between 2000 and 2006. I love his new car. He just got it today, I drove it around the block a few times learning stick.
Im still loving my 00' GT much better than the Bronco. The 351 Clevland in the Bronco was awesome tho, 5.8l of American goodness and 10mpg to match

it's been said again and again...
experience builds responsibility....and experience comes with age and life in general...
16 is NOT enough years...
NO ONE (ok no MALE) under 20years of age will treat this car with respect to keep themselves their passengers and ther drivers safe...i've yet to see it...
i willl def. say there is something to be said for those that actually have to work for and on their own cars paying their own pay...that makes it a different ballgame...and I don't mean kids that have a $1k/month allowance and use that to pay for their car and say they bought it themselves...knew lots of kids like that in highschool...1 of which killed his passenger in his 89 GT...then bought another new GT after that...parents paid for both...
at 16 i had a 2.2L '94 S-10 p/u truck 5 speed...
any chance i got i was dumping the clutch and speeding and running offroad...all the dumb crap that 16 year olds do...
i don't care what these 16 and 17 year old KIDS are saying on MF, or in front of their parents or anyone else. Once they're alone on the road, or worse yet with a friend or two in the car they WILL do things that are illegal/dangerous/irresponsible...
but what 16 y/o kid wouldn't want this car?
because of this I blame the parents 100%!!
even if by some chance the kid can completely afford to purchase this car by the sweat of his own brow...the parents still shouldn't allow it.
my kid 20 years or so from now will drive the same car as I did...a 30 year old '94 S-10 2.2L p/u truck!

This should make the teenagers feel better, but I'm 26 and I already wrenched my back end on a curb. All I can say is me, RWD and the first rain in 143 days do not play well together.
