Thanks.... pretty informative, especially for people who are new to the new mustang.

Did anyone else notice this on page 2 of the article?

There have been no issues with the '05's two-piece rear axle, which is utilized mainly for NVH (noise, vibration, harshness).
I don't even know what to think about a car magazine that would publish that blatent mistake.

Woah, ease up Quick. I know from our perspective this sounds blatant, but this article was written some time ago. At that time, it may have been quite true that hey hadn't heard of any problems with the two-piece driveshafts. Notice there is also no reference to the `06 models, and some of the "soon to be" comments are outdated as well.

From my perspective, what is irresponsible is that they didn't list the original publication date. Otherwise, it's a good article.

Best,

I wasn't referring to the problems but to the 2 piece axle comment, when they should have written driveshaft. If I have an axle in 2 pieces it's going to cause all kinds of problems since it's broke.

Oh, you mean thaaat problem....

Yeah, that is kind of a freshman error on their part. Or maybe they meant the "right part" and the "left part" or...? Nah, just a dopey mistake, no saving them.

[sm=alcoholic.gif] Oooops! That's toooo funny! I guess if your axel was in 2 pieces it would be pretty quiet. Good article though. -Joe
