Default SCT 2 Program

Anyone else finding that your program loses it potency after a few months. I notice my GT performing like stock after a few months on the program. I then re-program the car and it runs much stronger. This has happened twice in the last four months. Almost like the computer is taking it back to how it was on a factory tune. I would think that once it's tuned it would not change but the sensors on the car are pulling the timing back again or something. Weird.

I have had mine tuned with SCT for 3 months so far so good. Now I'm going to put on a Vortech so I probably will never run across what you said happened.

The original spanish oak processor is rather advanced. It does have the ability to "learn" over time. Im not sure if this is what you are experiencing. There was a thread on here recently about the processor. You might want to do a search and see if this sounds familiar to your issue.

I found the same thing but I hadn't modded anything. I just found that after a year the car didn't seem as peppy as wehn I first got it. I read the other thread and apparently the computer adapts to the way you drive. If you have a light foot then the drive by wire throttle adjusts to that. So when you put it down it doesn't go as hard as if you drove it hard all the time. At least that's how I think it works. You an reset it by doing the following:

1)Put key in "on" position - not started

2) After the lights and dinging stop slowly depress the gas pedal and count to 3 as you do it.

3)Release gas pedal

4) Turn car off

5)Start and enjoy.

I did it and it did make a difference. I don't know how doing that would affect your tune. Good luck!
