Can a stock rear end handle over 400 lbs torque
I have seen guys on here with 465rwhp and over 400lbs of torque. I was wondering if the rear end was still stock or if they needed mods to handle that torque, and what they used.

Im over 400 hp, and just added 4.10 gears. Ill let you know in a month!
If it goes, I may look for a 9 inch. I dont know how Ill get it in there, but I know it can handle the hp

so with the stock GT rear end I should be ok with the HP, but the problems will arise if I change the tires. I don't go to the track so I don't think I will change much in the tire departement. the stock Z rated tires seem to work fine.

Ive seen/built an 8.8 to handle about 600 horsepower....basically go to 31 spline axles and a new differential....I always recommended Auburns differentials to people....
