Whoa! $500? That is NOTHING! Is it clearcoated? I'm guessing not. Still though, that is a fantastic bargain!

Actually it is 3M vinyl stripes which cost the dealership less then $100 along with thier labor. The dealership makes a killing!

No way that can be CC for $500. ...but it does look really nice; I'm shocked at $500 w/o CC. You're lucky to find someone to mask off the car for $500. I mean do you know how they did this? Sanding? How? when you're not gonna reclear it (sand in 2000 and buff out afterwards?) ...any primer under the stripes?
Tell us more Wally. looks terrific, price rediculously low. You sure you didn't leave a zero off? :-)

No Biggie! I would have paid triple if they were painted on along with a couple coats of clearcoat! Those must have been the days!!!

RE: Got my stripes today!
If the stripes come in separate application pieces then a center guide stripe/tape needs to be applied first; couldn't have been done here. This will keep the left and right sections evenly spaced, front to rear. I helped my brother out part time for a couple of years in his graphics shop and we did a number of kit and custom vinyl stripe jobs. Alignment is mostly a little technique and a lot of "just caring" about the end result.
If these were done by a company they will likely redo them for ya; no big deal but I wouldn't live with that. Good thing it's not paint.
