Yeah, when my stripes start to go bad, I'm going to try to get them painted. Unfortunately I wasn't there when the car was bought and sent for the striping so I couldn't force the issue about painting.

I'm sorry. I quess I should have said they were decals. I'm happy with them. Those black stripes really show up good on that yellow Stang !

If the stripes come in separate application pieces then a center guide stripe/tape needs to be applied first; couldn't have been done here. This will keep the left and right sections evenly spaced, front to rear. I helped my brother out part time for a couple of years in his graphics shop and we did a number of kit and custom vinyl stripe jobs. Alignment is mostly a little technique and a lot of "just caring" about the end result.

If these were done by a company they will likely redo them for ya; no big deal but I wouldn't live with that. Good thing it's not paint.
Seeing pics like the screaming yellow/black with the wider gap on the back bumper concerns me ... considering I'm shopping around to have a precut satin silver stripe kit installed on my car. Having uneven spacing is what I'm trying to avoid!

Got a quote for $200-$300 to have the kit installed by a sign/graphics company that has a contract to do the lettering on police and EMS vehicles.

Just grab a pic from here of what you "do not want". ...just to let them know what your expectation is. They'll know you have a keen eye and will likely get you just what you expect.

Already done ... as well as downloaded a number of pics where the stripes were dead on, and looked like a professional installation.

Will be going in for a more acurate quote/view sample of their work early this coming week ... with a clear emphasis on me being interested more in quality of workmanship, as opposed to speed or done "on the cheap."

I can deal with them having the car for a couple extra days, as long as they're doing it right the first time. :-)

Mine were done in December. They dont' go all the way down the fron or the back, but I think it looks better because it doesn't.
Do you ave a pic of the back?
I think I don't want to wrap mine around the rear bumper either.

If it's vinyl stripes you're talking, one day to leave your car is easily enough if the start in the morning. I'd be hesitant to leave the car, but you do what you have to do.

Figured since everyone is showing off their strips I would add to this collection.

Thanks ... you must have read my mind, as I drove by the shop to see where they're located, and found out that they don't really have a secured area for storing vehicles (unless they've got some locked up behind the two garage doors I saw). Looks like a few customer trucks/cars sitting outside, right next to the road.

05GTSTANG, you have the only car here that makes me jealous. For my taste it just doesn't get any better than that. May I ask what wheels those are?
