sounds fishy to me...if he'll 'have to sell it' why would he sell it for 6500 instead of 16,500? If it came from a police auction, why is it pictured in front of a pretty decent looking home? Most auction places require bank check to release...
Sounds like a 5000 dollar harley deal a couple guys at work jumped on...ended up a 5000 dollar hole in wallet. VIN 899- thats an early 05. But in louisiana - lots of floaters around that neck of the woods after Katrina...I'd have to see it before sending a penny- if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

+1 .. not a truer word ever said... something is up with that.. yes I read what he had to say.. but come on .. he could get $10,000 EASY for that car..
why $6,500...?? something is bad wrong about that car or deal..

Like the old saying "If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is". I would have some serious questions about flood damage on that car

+2, it probably was a Katrina car, and someone jacked it from one of the delers down there, and cleaned it up to sell.

Didn't he say that he would post up the Carfax? Well, I looked it up, and short of buying the report (which I won't) it shows 3 records (bad things for those of you who don't know). Not my cup of tea. I would stay far away.

I run a car audio shop in New Orleans and anyone who has messed with their own amplifiers before knows that you need to pull up the edge of the carpet an sometimes the seats in cars to run wires. You should see the number of cars with temporary tags on them which the insulation and floors are still wet. The interior is clean, but you can tell that the car was flooded. The sad part is that the owners have no idea when they discover all of the moisture. Which means that they got screwed paying full price for a flooded car.

Yet another scam for the gullible. Last year, I saw a '68 Shelby GT 500 KR on Ebay for $4500. Looked great. I wonder whose it really was....NEVER fall for BS like this!

/Agree.

I wouldn't give the guy credit for even HAVING the car. Notice how he wanted to use a third party site, and had to sell it RIGHT AWAY? No one in their right mind sells a '05 GT for 6500 bucks. I got my GT premium from a lady in Tampa who HAD to unload it, and I still paid 20k for it.

I especially liked how he dissapeared when his "deal" came under fire.

This is a bad scam in action.

IF.............................. everything he sez is true, he could take that 'Stang to any car lot, and they would give him $16K on "the spot", and turn it for $22K in a day.

Now, he knew he had no $$, WHY the hell would he pay someone to bid for him ?

C'mon, I was born at night, but, it wasn't last night.
