Default 1/4, 0-60???

Hey guys; As some of you might no ( most of you dont) i Order my 06 5spd GT about 4 weeks ago and i was just a little unsure w/ some info. I have a couple of friends w/ some sport cars also, the new Civic si, a 350z, s2000, and a rx8. Lucky for me, im the only one w/ a stang. I know my car going to be the fastest but i was woundering how fast the GT really is. I heard 0-60 is 4.9 and 1/4 is about 13.5, what do you guys run?

Stock you are looking at anywhere from 14.2-13.6 depending on the good driver mod. Add just a few mods and you could easily hit low 13's with good driver mod. Good luck, and congrats.

Well 3 things come in to play here.... The guys at the road and track, car and driver, motor trend etc. Test their vehicles under optimum driving conditions. They also have quite a bit of experience with getting the best luanch in the 1/4 mile. The third thing is that car companies send cars that are a little better tuned than the production models. Thus for giving you (the reader) a false idea of how well it performs.

except for the common knowledge that magazine times SUCK because they have no feel for the cars they test. while what you say is true in some cases, and they do usually test in optimum whether conditions, "factory freaks" and "first run" cars are by no means common industry practices

so you guys saying more like low 5's 0-60 w/ a good driver?

this is not my first stick shift sports car, sure its my first 300hp car(old car=3000gt w/ 222hp), lol.

so a good driver should get a high 13 in the 1/4 and a low 5 to 60 is what you guys think?
