Some basic get you going mods would be:

1)Axel back exhaust, ie...SLP, Corsa, Bassani,Borls,etc...
2)Cold air intake, ie...JLT true cold air, C&L. With the purchase of this you will have to get #3
3)Hand help programmer, ie...SCT Xcalibrator 2, Diablo sport programmer.
4)Gears, 4:10's 3:73's
5)Suspension and good tires.

Just search on this sire a bunch and you will find a ton of info.

You need to change #1....to: Have checkbook and credit card ready!!! It is very important to have both of these specialty tools ready, because very quickly one or the other won't work and a back-up will be needed.

and unless your single you need to have a Wife/Girlfriend who is willing to split their time with your new Car.

+1

8CYLPOWER,
Little to no Power gains on the Axle Back Exhaust, But The Sound is all the reason in the world to do this

I think if you start with a Good Tuner and Tune with Cold Air Intake First.
Then Gears, Listen to all exhaust clips you can find to get the Sound YOU want, this is the most subjective Mod out there, everyone had different tastes in exhaust sound so you can ask "what is the best" but in the long run, it's what you like not everyone else.
We can give you pros and cons on each exhaust, thats it. Search the forums for past discussions about exhaust.

Utilise the search feature, there is TONS of info just waiting to be dug up.

Gears will give your car a better off the line pickup, it will bring the Torque down lower for a better "Feel power in the seat of pants"

Most of all Have fun, and be proud of your car. You have the Best looking under 30K car on the Road flaunt it....
Oh and BTW, They Love to Eat Rice and don't wear Bowties [sm=smiley20.gif]
