Ford Racing Parts springs????
Has any one out there installed the ford mustang performance parts springs on their mustang yet? I would like to know for I do not want to get the two inch drop from the Eibach or the Tein stech springs. I live in Chicago and diving specially when the snow thaws is a b*&^%. I hate it. right now my Mustang is stock and I like it because driving in the city sucks. My Tiburon felt like s*&^ driving hitting pot holes all the time. I don't want to go with the 2+ inch drop but the Ford Racing lowering springs are a 1.5 inch drop. Has any one experienced these springs.

I run them. I also have the stock shocks and struts. I also did not need a rear panhard bar. The ride is very near stock on the highway. However whenever there is a situation where the roads get rough and the driving is slow it is very noticeable. But I suspect any performance spring is the same. It takes curves like a demon with a very controllable flat ride. Also sits flatter when drag racing. I would say that roughly 1/2 inch compression on the top end is closer to stock rate. More compression than that and they firm up considerably. I very much like them.

You may also want to look at the Roush springs. I've only installed the rear to bring it down about an inch. The ride is very similar to stock. Here's a pic.

I know doing just the rears will help with the rear 'squat' on acceleration. Does it help any with the front end dive when braking? Or do you need to install both front and rear to see a complete improvement? A side note - has anyone noticed anything negative about aftermarket suspensions with convertibles? More shake or body flex?

you would need to change both springs to reduce the roll at braking. it was really noticeable in the old foxbodies. but 600lb front / 250 lb rears end that pretty easily. the rear springs alone solve a lot of handling characteristics shortcomings. but not braking.
