I have 20" wheels on my 05 GT mustang and was wondering what the widest tire is i can go with. I bought the car with the wheels on them and have looked all over the wheels and do see where it says how wide they are. I measured the width of the wheel and it was a little over 9" from lip to lip. I am wanting to run 275/35 on the back. Do you think they will fit?

i have 20's on my mustang gt and have Pirelli 275/35ZR20's in the front and 275/40ZR20's in the back, i think thats as wide as you can get, unless someone can prove me wrong

How wide are your wheels? You dont have rubbing of any kind?

9 in front 10 in back, they're the 05 chrome saleen wheels

With the proper offsets you should be able to run 275/40/20 in the front and 295/40/20 in the rear lowered without issues. I am running 285/30/20's in the rear and still have room for a wider / taller tire.

There is a Saleen on eBay with 20x10 wheels on the rear with 315/35R20 rubber.

Those arent 315/35r 20 on that saleen. Those look like the stock tires on the saleen, I was told unless I get off set rims the stock tires on a saleen is about as wide as you can go, you can go a little taller.

I put 11.5" x 20" wheels on the rear. It works fine. The only tire I can find to fit is 305 25 20. I'd like a little taller tire, but no one I can find makes one.

Hmm...Apparently I wasn't paying attention to the posts. I'm going to check out the Pirellis that Tmac has.
