First time it happened to me I was in third gear, dropped down into second taking a hard left and floored it - I was going faster than I had though and bounced the rev limit.
Had a heart attack, pulled over, cleaned out my shorts, and everything was fine. I'm about 3k miles later now with no problems.

No worries. My limiter is reset to 6500 and I have bounced off of it more than once. Doesn't bother me anymore. They pulled the car to 7k on the dyno more than once during the custom tuning. I was standing next to the car when they did it and it made me cringe.[

if you have the SCT II you can adjust your rev limiter if your concerned. i was playing with mine the other day and my tune from evolution had it set at 6800 but i think i'll decrease that just a tad.

BUMPED IT...Hell most of us are pushing it out of the way!! Car is solid to 7. I have my auto set to shift at 6300RPM 1>2 and 6600rpm every gear after. Don't need as much torque to keep it moving in the later gears, so I keep in in the HP range.
