your fine... your car has a rev limiter, stock i believe to be around 6250 there to prevent engine damage. you can hit it without hurting your car, just don't go doing it from every stop sign.

First time it happened to me I was in third gear, dropped down into second taking a hard left and floored it - I was going faster than I had though and bounced the rev limit.

Had a heart attack, pulled over, cleaned out my shorts, and everything was fine. I'm about 3k miles later now with no problems.

No worries. My limiter is reset to 6500 and I have bounced off of it more than once. Doesn't bother me anymore. They pulled the car to 7k on the dyno more than once during the custom tuning. I was standing next to the car when they did it and it made me cringe.[]

if you have the SCT II you can adjust your rev limiter if your concerned. i was playing with mine the other day and my tune from evolution had it set at 6800 but i think i'll decrease that just a tad.

BUMPED IT...Hell most of us are pushing it out of the way!! Car is solid to 7. I have my auto set to shift at 6300RPM 1>2 and 6600rpm every gear after. Don't need as much torque to keep it moving in the later gears, so I keep in in the HP range.
