When I called MGW they told me "Most likely in the fall of 06". I couldn't wait, so went with he Pro 50. Totally worth it! Got the best price thru JEGS

i've felt most of the shifters on the market. i give the win hands-down to the Hurst, with the pro 5.0 a runner up. waay back in third place goes to the steeda "mod", and then the tri-ax, then the b&m ripper. this is all my opinion. i lik ereally short throw and "notchy" feel. it almost feels like having a tiptronic where you just bump th estick instead of shift it!
I really like the look that the hurst shifter has and have grown up with them in the past. Great shifters. But there is so much talk about how B&M, Steeda, MGW, etc... are coming superior in today's world. So I wanted to see what other had to say. I have seen alot of the older stangs all reply saying "MGW" is the best, but unfortunately they have not join today's market for the 05-06s.

So my question to you Sleeper is, which shifter did you go with, the competition plus or the ford racing/hurst shifter?

Done... Hurst shifter it is!! I have to stay, what a freakin big difference... This shifter added 2 inches depth between the control panel and the shift stick now with the Hurst installed and the throw now from first to second gear is only a 2" throw. Gotta still break her in but man what a DIFFERENCE

Shifter looks Great! I see you also ditched the crappy looking shift boot for a Redline leather one. Nice color combo and the hurst retro shifter looks great.

Yeah I changed out that OEM shifter boot 2-3 months after I bought the car. It definately needed to be upgraded. Thanks for the comments, greatly appreciated...

Where did you get the shifter boot, and where is the best place for the Hurst shifter?

That Redline leather boot is the *****. I just ordered this UPR billet shifter bezel and cup holder in satin finish today. I was thinking of going the red/black boot route but do you think it would be a bit to much? Picture them in your set up with the Hurst shifter of course. What do you think?

If you have the different accent package, like mine is red/black it would be sweet to put the Hurst, but use a different "Ball"!!,, White just wouldn't do it in my redfire and love the red black boot, just maybe can find a different shift **** somewhere in a different color?? I need to get sometype of chrome. Something that would match all the accesories like in your car Boid.. and the chrome wheels , etc
If anyone has good site for this, let me know. Thanks everyone..
