Hey all, I've had my GT for about a month and I'm still grinning...and looking at my first performance mod. I searched the forums and decided on a Brenspeed CAI/tuner combo based on the many good opinions here, and am trying to decide between the C&L and JLT II. From what I understand the JLT has a slight HP advantage but the C&L looks prettier...but what is the reason for the $120 price difference? Is the C&L better and if so how?

BTW all your sigs and pics are giving me waaay too many ideas. I have a "Road Map to Mods" slowly taking shape and it is a lengthy one!!

I like the C & L myself, very high quality CAI, easy install, perfict fit of all pieces, and its metal vs plastic.

I dont like the looks of the JLT II. Not factory enough looking. I am going to go with the C&L soon. But I am actually thinking about getting the racer version providing it is as good or better than the aluminum one performance wise. It looks slicker and doesent have all that heavy aluminum to act like a heat sink and warm the incoming air.

But the aluminum one looks pretty good too, and supposidly they work well.

Have you seen the C&L in person? I think it looks like crap. I wanted one myself from looking at pictures over the JLT, but ended up with the JLT because of the price difference, then later had a chance to see the C&L and was glad I didn't go that route.

I would say see them in person 1st if you can.

Thats a pretty engine bay. Throw a plenum cover on and you'll be golden. I get my JLT/SCT tuesday. Can't wait to throw it on even though I won't be able to get to it till next weekend(Rough work schedule).

Thanks Timmay, Im holding out for the cover ford will be offering on the 07's. I hear it looks better and better quality than the ones that are out now.

The install should only take about 20-30 minutes, maybe on your lunch break?

Dude, that is a nice looking CAI! I got one for my 06 from JLT but it doesn't have the same heat shield. Is that custom? Mine from JLT is a small divider and that's it. Thanks!

Its an upgrade. About a month ago he changed the style of the shield. Origionally I had the one sided one.
You can get the upgraded one for 15 bucks
