Gears!!!!
A. - why aren't you guys who are so concerned with gas mileage not buying hybrids?
B. - I had a RADICAL set-up on 4.10's pumping twice the amount of fuel as most of you and I could easily cruise at 80 mph at 2800 - 3200 rpm max. For craps sake, stop thinking gears are going to screw your MPG. It's all how you drive. You can get crappy gas mileage on the stock gears if you hammer it all the time. If you're so worried about MPG, then adjust your DRIVING, not your parts.

Exactly! The difference in cost isn't much anyway. Even if you take the full mileage hit, the cost is what-- 15% more fillups a year? Or, if you prefer to think of it this way, a 15% higher gas bill every time you fill up? That's, what, $3 or 4? For the performance enhancement it's CHEAP.
If you want an econobox, go sell the 'stang and buy a Hyundai.
Just for the record, anyone here that sells their mustang, buys a hybrid (Esecially that damned Prius), and ADMITS IT on these forums will be laughed at, flamed, and otherwise humilated in the appropiate manner.
If I feel the need to get good gas mileage I jump in the car with my wife who has a 05 accord and get 35+ miles to the gallon , then I reliaze why I bought my car and done the mods to it.....Cause I dont give a F*** about Gas mileage...............lol
