ive done 165, and i wouldnt recommend it unless you have an aerodynamic body kit, are lowered, have big grippy tires, and do it on a nice road while vowing never to do it again...

Before it went down for the rebuild, I was running 122 mph average in the 1/4 and always had some sort of vibration. Different driveshafts had different levels of vibrations but even on the stock shaft, there was some vibration at that speed under stress. Normal... Look back at the history of ALL mustangs. The chasis construction is one of the key elements that made this car affordable compared to other 'sports cars' even in the 60's. It will never handle like more expenive sport cars at 100+ and that's just the way it is. Still, pretty damn impressive for a $30K car though.

i work here in kuwait and we have some nice long flat roads i had the same prob as you in was in 1 of my stock tires put on a set of t1s took care of it also i have to say dont try above 145 with out some work it gets pretty light i just added 2" lowering kit and a front air splitter and it made a huge diff so be safe and keep it above 6000

140mph, lots of wind noise and the hood was vibrating enough for me to worry about it blowing off, but otherwise rock solid especially since the pavement wasn't the smoothest.
