Default For those with Automatics...

I was about to buy an auxiliary ATF cooler to mount in front of the radiator - and behold - it doesn't need one. The ATF is cooled not by a radiator tank mounted cooler, but a quite large auxiliary cooler sandwiched between the radiator and AC condenser. Looks like the "fill for life" 5R55S automatic will have nice ATF temperatures and should last a good long time - maybe even 50K between fluid changes. The cooler lines are also nice 12mm (1/2") lines that should flow alot of fluid.

if you have not already may i suggest installing a mesh grill in front of it, i noticed that mine had taken some serious stones and other debris hits and over time this will cut cooling ability if the fins cannot alow air to flow install was simple and inexpensive a little insurance for the long haul.

i have a pretty high stall converter in mine and zero problems cooling fluid with the stock cooler. along with merconV fluid being synthetic i don't see any reason to swap the cooler for a larger aftermarket one.
