skrappy, realistically it can take more than the transmission can so when you have enough power to necessitate upgrading the trans then it's time to lose the slip joint shaft also....BMR claims theirs is good to 1000hp, problem is they have no way of backing that claim up since there is not a 3V in existance making more than 700hp. i had two made an sold one to vegasjay. he has a stick shift s/c car with drag radials and runs in the 11's with no problems.

wally, there is a striking difference in power from something this simple especially in n/a cars since your are freeing up 20+ hp/tq all across the rpm range AGAIN I TESTED IT AND PICKED UP .20 SECOND FOR REAL. i don't sell them so i have reason to lie about performance gains. i will tell you that vegas probably didn't see that much gain since he has more torque on tap but i'll guarrantee he gained .10 second at least.

criptic, it's just balancing. once a fab shop/driveline shop has cut and welded then it's straight forward stuff. the place i use specializes in truck stuff so i'm comfortable in the fab abilities and welding skills of the guys there. you could send it to any driveline shop that can do aluminum and they should have no problems since it's such an easy modification...just cut 9" off and rebalance thats it. don't let them do anything else even if they want to.

That Shadrick car has been posted all over the internet for the last year. Surprised it took this long to get it in to a magazine. The price will scare the hell out of you.

thats the one! M4602R also get the M4851B 03-04 cobra companion flange from roland(bryant racing/motorsport he should have that in stock also.
OH AND ACTUALLY i was looking for something besides a dyno queen that spins rollers at 900hp. i would love to see if that BMR shaft could really withstand that 900hp at the track....with traction and launching like it's being raced. i have a friend with a top/sportsman car and he shattered a carbon shaft after 40 runs with his 1100hp mountain motor dodge(it also 1000lbs lighter than our cars and has a glide in it). prostocks generally get 10 runs from a carbon shaft before replacing.

I use Spyders shaft. It went in perfectly after the shop dropped 9 inches from it. And it is super smooth. This has to be the most homo post I have ever typed. [sm=nothatway.gif]
