As far as a turbo setup, they do make more low end tourque than a centri, but not as much as a roots or eaton style system. Their top end is higher than any other if the exhaust is up to the task however, because there is no drag on the motor.
I'm not doing a turbo for the simple reason that I love my exhaust not, and a turbo would completely change it.

There is drag on the motor - God does not reach down and turn the turbine - no matter how hard or to whome you pray.
But, the drag is far exceeded by the gains on the other side of the cycle...
As for reasons for not doing turbo, I have to +1 on the exaust and add !@#$ing emissions laws (I don't mind being clean, it is all the !@#$ing beuracracy that makes me type funny characters)...
