no worries man....just gotta break that bad boy in! ... as time passes you'll be happier and happier with the product! also if you go to the search icon..and type in problem with shifter, or shifter..you might able to get some more imformation! and really its all about the break in! otherwise it may be an improper install, which is a definate possibility....but if it was done by a professional and someone that knows what their doing you should be okay! cheers

Steeda supply's washers/shims that go in between the back of the shifter and the body of the car. They gave me 4 washers and I only used 2 of them and it cleaned it up big time. I love this shifter, shim the rear and it will move and be as easy to slam in and out of gears perfectly, with no effort. This shiming tech info was the last step in the directions. I installed the shims of the bat due to I had a Pro 50 and it did the same thing to me so I new it had to be done. It changes the shifter base height and also removes any kind of binding. I hope this helps.

Good Luck Ricky.

Also make sure you did not overtighten the bolts on the linkage. Go back under and check , use some thread locker and tighten snugly , not real tight. This usually clears up 90% of installed shifter/Kit problems.

I have to agree with what the others are saying. Make sure it is installed correctly. I have had mine for a few weeks now and have no issues with it. I did not have to wait for it to break in either. It has been great right out of the box. I have tried the Pro 5.0 and the Hurst and the Steeda is by far my favorite.

I have the Hurst, but know a few people that swapped out there Steeda's because of shifts from 2nd to 3rd being extremely bad like you said.

That's why I want to ditch the stock shifter. The 2nd to 3rd gate is a bitch! Do ANY of the aftermarket shifters hit 3rd easily and consistantly?

+1 - the majority of the problems I have seen were simply from overtightening.
