Default NEW '07 just rolled home

Well it finally arrived today. My new '07 GT vert. in all its rumbling throaty new-car-smellin' glory.
As my luck would have it I got caught in a heavy downpour on the way home from the dealership today and saw my new baby covered with water droplets from the newly-detailed wax job the dealer gave me.
So what's a new proud papa to do? That's right, hand-washed and dried that sucker in the garage.
Weather broke and took it for a nice twilight cruise. Then parked it in the garage and wiped down any visible blemish.

I know its just a matter of time before I don't care for the car this much, but I felt guilty getting it soaking wet on the first drive...

Had my mind set on stripes but could only accept tan stripes (to match roof), but that idea didn't stick, and decided to leave as-is.

My wife bought me a 8" chrome mast antenna but I'm not sure if it'll mess w/ reception, or not look right. Anyone know anything about this?

Looking to get chrome trim around tail-lights and possibly the door handles. Really like chrom front grills and hope to add the update main grille one day.

Would like to post pic but for some reason I can't do it (even with a link to a host site... frustrating).
Well, its time to go back to the garage now and just stare at it from random angles for another hour or so...

I have had my GT for over a year and a half and still drive my wife nuts cuz I stay outside and stare at it. As long as you treat her right, she will still turn heads, including yours.

I have the 6 inch antenna (By accident), no problem at all with the reception, get all the channals that my buds do. Plus don't hit the 16 foot overpasses any more, thats a plus.

Congrats on the new ride! You'll have fun with her. =)

To answer one of your questions: the 8' antenna has the same reception as the stock antenna. It's a little short, but looks MUCH nicer than the giant flag pole Ford put on there. I've found a 14' antenna lines up level with the top of the car.

Good luck with your new car!
