The clip states that it has a Saleen S/C. If he has 4.10 or 4.30 gears, then he has to shift into 4th before the finish line.

I hope he was running racing slicks on that thing... Otherwise, those burnouts were doing nothing but hurting those tires. Heat is the enemy of street tires. They're made to perform at normal operating temperatures, not at the high temps you get from doing burnouts.

But yeah, regardless of gearing, he was shifting too early. He had a lot more usuable power-band than he was utilizing.

Hit the pause button during the first few seconds of the beginning of the clip when it says 'Try Harder Productions'. At the bottom you'll see 'Saleen SC'.

His speedo indicates that he shifts 1-2 at approx. 35 mph, 2-3 at approx. 65, and 3-4 at approx. 105(difficult to see but it appears to be slightly higher than 100). So if his rev limiter is set at 6250 rpm(+/-), then he's using the stock 3.55 gears(Which I understand is the lowest recommended gearing to use when modded with a S/C), and he's shifting at redline.
