Default Windage Tray??

Anyone install one of these in their oil pans yet? Supposed to be good for 12hp or so and they are only around $80. They say that ford put them in on the 2000 Cobra-R cause they worked so well....

My car is on the rail...should be here in a couple days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah Ive got one in my 06 GT..They did put them in the Cobras & yes they work..You wont feel a 12-15 hp(at the flywheel) increase. But it all adds up once you do all the bolt ons! I think Im the only one who has it here.Never seen it anyone elses sig.I recomend that when you do install it(windage tray) do an oil upgrade at the same time for the engine/tranny.Maybe even do the gear oil too if your up to it....I use Royal Purple with a K&N oil filter.

All S197's come stock with a windage tray. The Canton windage tray is nicer and a little more 'heavy duty' but since you already have a windage tray stock, you will not see any HP gains.

The only real reason to upgrade to the Canton is if you are going to upgrade your oil pan to get more oil moving throughout the car. The Morrosso Elliminator aluminum oil pan holds about 8 quarts when you factor in the oil filter and the only issue with it is you have to use an adapter in the bung to fit your oil temp sensor which is no big deal.

Yeah,I should've clarified that S197s already had them...I went ahead & swapped mine because it was suppose to be(the canton) far more superior than the stocker one.My mechanic said I would get a little extra HP from it.Who knows?Maybe I did or did'nt.But at least I know Im not putting junk shet into my motor!

I don't know if you got any more HP or not. I doubt it but I will say the difference between the stock and canton is night and day. Once I pulled the stocker off, then I really realized it. The canton is a very nice piece. Now you just need to get the elliminator oil pan and you're good to go!
