Unmatched Technology
Thanks to relentless innovation, ProCharger technology is generations ahead of the competition. Our exclusive, patented, self-contained, gear-driven superchargers eliminate tapping into your oil pan, run cooler and produce more power than any of our competitor’s products. Our impellers are created with aircraft grade 7075 T-6 aluminum alloy for tremendous strength and performance. The top tier material used in the construction of every ProCharger billet impeller and compressor housing allows us to use higher step up ratios than the competition. This in turn allows increased boost levels and superior overall performance than other offerings on the market. Because of this unwavering commitment to excellence, ProCharger is the only manufacturer of self-contained superchargers offering a 3-year warranty to ensure years of trouble free performance.

Well Andrew, perhaps in Puerto Rico people are installing a massive set of gears from an amusement park to somehow go from the crank pulley to the procharger, but here in the U.S. every supercharger made is DRIVEN (powered)(turned) by a BELT. Please visit procharger's website and point out all those gears. Oh, and ignore the belt going from the crank pulley to the procharger in the picture. I'm sure that's just there for show. And BTW this has nothing to do with not having to tap your oil pan. If someone is that concerned with tapping their oil pan, there are several twin screw s/c's to choose from.

The gear drive that they're referring to is the actual impeller drive. The belt drives the pulley, which in turn spins the gears, which spins the impeller. The gears and the smaller diameter pulley on the blower are responsible for the rotational multiplication. That's how they achieve impeller speeds of tens of thousands of RPMs. Rotrex centr. blowers use planetary rollers to drive the impeller. They get something like three rotations of the impeller for every one rotation of the pulley. Some of their blowers have impeller speeds in excess of 200,000 RPMs and abdiatic efficiency of 98%.

^^That's pretty funny!

Did I say the gear was the one connected to the motor or to the impeller? In case you didn´t know some of the fastest cars in the world are from here in PR.

Prochargers can leak oil, so that is something you have to monitor.

No you didn't say. But what you did say was ...
procharger is gear driven also so no more pulley slipage
WTF does gear driven have to do with pulley slippage? So in essence what you implied is that it is driven by a gear. Once again I'll use you own words ..

This may sway you towards the vortech -

I have a H/O full kit available for sale right now. It is in great condition and also comes with a complete 8 rib set-up, a 6 rib 3.61 & 3.31 pulley and a 8 rib 3.61 and 3.31 pulley. It also has the upgraded T-trim stainless steel oil feed. This kit will make over 500 rwhp on the stock longblock with the 6 rib set-up all day long at 14 psi. The whole package is over 6K and I'm selling it for $3K for everything. PM me if interested.

In case you're wondering, the reason I'm selling it is because I am going with a 76mm turbo.
