Not sure why you are having trouble, maybe you got a fluke set? I have no problems with mine and have never heard of anyone saying they had that problem before. I would contact Mac or the vender you got them from. Even if you weld them its no big deal but you should not have to.

Good luck
I should have taken pictures of what came with mine (I've since thrown them away), possibly the company I bought them from added a set of clamps, not sure but the ones I got were so skinny they would work great on a small muffler with this metal tubes, but they snapped easy while tightening them.

I did, they snapped like twigs, lets face it, unless MAC sent you beefy ones, the little things that come with these mufflers blow.
I apologize. I was adjusting mine last night, and snapped one too. O'reilly's had the u-bolt type like pictured above. I bought two for just under $3.

Just go to napa and buy two HD stainless U-bolt clamps for 2.5" pipe. That should work fine for ya.

Just dont expect to be able to remove the mufflers again without grief as the U bolt clamps crimp the pipes together and make it a pita to remove without damage.

Band clamps are easier to deal with but dont work as well unless the pipe is slit.

Don't give up on your MAC's yet. These are awesome sounding mufflers. Once they are on you'll never go back to stock guaranteed......

Call me a goober but I had a muffler shop install mine and they did weld them on. At least I know they are on there for good and they do rock big time.
