Default shorty headers

will the shorty headers void warranty? it would be my guess that they would not because you can keep your cats on, but then again the guys at ford said that i can only do stuff from the cats back....

I'm pretty sure it would void your warranty. So you might as well get a set of L/T's.

no kidding haha those would be ideal. i do not want to blow a motor, throw a rod, or any of the above and have ford screw me out of a warranty replacement...

shorty's will not void your warranty as for L/T's that's another story.

Yeah, headers wont really void your warranty, esp shorties. If you wanna do LTs, you should do em. These cars are new and fairly well built, your not gonna blow your motor or even damage it with LTs. You dont need to worry about the dealer voiding it completely, but you cant go to the dealer and say "my LT headers are leaking, can you fix it under warranty". Just get the headers installed properly and tuned and they should actually help your enigine. Btw, on a side note, the dealer can not void your warranty due to a modification unless they can prove that the problems being caused are due specifically to the modification.

A dealer cannot void the warranty because you installed headers or after-market exhaust or intake. They can if you do not pass EPA requirements. They gotta prove that the reason why you blew up ur engine was because of the headers, which is almos timpossible to prove that you letting more air in naturally made you blow up the motor. FI is a whole other 20 bucks though!
