REVENGE is OURS !!!!!!
Yup - I drive the GT every chance I can steal it from the hubby! I love the rush I get while driving it - has ALOT more power than my Grand Am GT. I don't think it is a guy/gal thing - I think it is a "Fun to drive" thing!
She seemed a little startled that I waved at her, I guess she doesn't know about the "Mustang Wave", LOL! Yup, chicks drive GTs as well as sixxers. Are you not secure enough in your masculinity to accept that?

I rolled up next to a girl driving a White V6 Pony Pkg on the highway last week and waved...she too looked at me like I was hitting on her or something [:-]
...lame
Hey I've got 0 problem with chicks driving any car, but to call the Mustang GT a chick car.. c'mon..
Back to the point at hand..

I also have never done an autocross, never quite got the point, and dont really want to learn. Doesent e-town have a small, technical roadcourse now too.
Besides, in reality, while the mustang does handle nice for what it is, there are better handling cars out there. I still think my 20 year old porsche 944 will outcorner my stang any day of the week while riding on the original 15x7" wheels with sticky summer tires. Even with that wheel size it still handles flatter, turns in quicker, and has gobbs more feel at the limit. But straight line, it is no contest, the mustang would just eat the 944 0-60.
If you do go down to e-town though, let me know, I will bring the stang down to represent if I can but probably wont autoX it.
First time i've heard about E-Town.. is there a web-site or such? And about our car's not handling well, perhaps they are not the best, but there by far not the worst. Watch this video.. I'ld love to get alittle road race gathering of our guys. If for nothing more than to have some fun.. and if we happen to stomp on some 350z's that won't be so bad either.

I agree, the new stangs handle great for a solid axle car. In fact, so far the only handling items on my to-do list are a set of good tires for the factory 18" wheels, and maybe a thicker gt500 rear sway bar to get rid of a little understeer. Other than that, I havent even really felt the urge to touch the shocks or springs yet. That time may come, but so far, I really like the way the car feels.
As far as the e-towntrack, http://www.racewaypark.com/ is the site. Click on the roadcourse tab on the left margin of the page.
I dont know what the deal with it is though as the roadcourse page hasent been updated since august 04. It also looks like a very tight course, about the samecircuit length as lime rock but alot tighter, for our cars to really shine we need more of a watkins glen setup. Our cars need room to run. With longer straights, a car with alot of power and good cornering ability can run with a slower car that handles like it is on rails.
But it might be fun to tool around on a bit.

Haha just read through those post and you can see what kind of people drive those cars. They fulfill the rice stereotype quite well. One guy bragging how he has never lost to a Mustang, and his sig quotes a 13.8 qtr WITH MODS! I been driving stick for 3 months now, and would smack him down.
