I run mine to 6500 with occasion as she still pulls well up there with the tune and intake. My limiter is set at 6800.

But just fooling around on the street having fun, most of the time I short shift at 6000-6250.

wouldn't exactly call that a short shift haha.

i believe the 3v only drops off in power due to electronic nannies. without them, it should pull to 6500 ish or so. i could be wrong.

You are right. One of my other favorite things to do once in a while is to take off in first with some wheelspin, under WOT crank it up to about 4500, and throw a hard shift right in the middle of the torque band. The car just goes sideways for a good 20 feet.

Try it sometime. Not fast, but fun and noisy.

Mine will pull pretty well to 6500. But whether or not it is actually faster doing that or not is a different story. If I pull to 6500 in second, it seems to not bog as much in the bottom of third.

i actually tested this at the track ppl

if you have the 93 octane tune from brenspeed, evo, or bama. . . then our car makes power well up in the 6k range.

i made passes at 6200, then i made them at 6500. . . when i held it up to 6500, i trapped higher and ran better times

I have noticed that too.....I shift anywhere between 6300 and 6500. I also asked Doug at Bamachips and he specifically told me his 93 octane tune makes power out to 6200-6300 RPM

Plus, if you have the stock rear gear, then you can go thru the traps in 3rd if you wind it out to 6500 rpm, which saves a shift and gives a lower e.t.

I set my Max at 7000, so i can have room to pwrshift at 6500 and not bounce off the rev limter. Its seems like it pulls all the way up there, im trapping @ 104 when i shift early compared to 108 when i shift @ 6500
