Default Need help ...car hiccups

Alright.....here we go....only have C+L CAI.....have 3 different tunes....EVOS tune does not hiccup at all....BUT Brents at Brendspeed does occasionally...WHY
my car is an auto..both brents drag tune and his normal 93 tune do this
when I say hiccup, I mean when it shifts at half throttle from 1st to 2nd or sometimes 2nd to 3rd...once and while it will hiccup and hesitate....bucks the whole car....it does not happen all the time...it is almost like my car is getting no fuel for a split second and wants to shut down....evo tune has never done this to me ...but i love Brents shift firmness better unless it does that then it scares the shiz right out of ya....it happened a couple times at WOT when taking off frm 2nd to 3rd..it also will do this if i manually shift the car...any help and advice is welcome....I dont want to bother brent again...if it is something simple....
PLEASE ADVISE

Are you sure it's the tune? My '05 GT(before I traded it in on an'06 GT) used to hiccup in the morning...but it got progressively worse, turns out my Throttle Body was going bad. Dealer found problem out during an oil change(well, after I mentioned it) and changed it (of course) under warranty. Not sure if this is your situ. but I thought I'd mention it. Good luck with your dilemma.

Brent is a professional, just call him up and figure this out. Have you tried flashing to stock, then reloading the tune? If all fails just reflash to stock and put the stock parts on and take it to the dealer, have you checked for TSB's on this?

I have experience the same issue in my car but I am running a Kenne Bell tune. I have a Boost-a-Pump and when this occurs the fuel pressure never drops so I know it is not the bubbles-in-the-fuel TSB.
Interested in what you find out.

If the TB was going bad, then both tunes(EVO & Brentspeed) would probably exhibit the same problem.

Reflash the Brentspeed tune as suggested by RCT06GT, and then do the following:

-Turn the key to the 'ON' position(not the 'ACC' position, and do not start the engine),
and wait for the dash warning lights to go out and the chime to stop.

- Press the gas pedal all the way down in one smooth motion(approx. 3 seconds to hit
the floor).

- As soon as the pedal hits the floor, slowly release it in one smooth motion(approx. 3 seconds. to its fully released position).

- Wait 5 seconds, then turn the key to 'OFF'.

- Wait another 5 seconds.

- Repeat all of the above steps 2 more times.

- After the 3rd time around, start the engine normally, and drive.

If that does not help, then there's probably something wrong with the tune. Ask Brent to send you a new one.

Try this (auto tranny only)...

Cruise near idle (35mph/1,500rpm), press the peddle about 1/3 to 1/2 and hold. After the downshift, and as the RPM's rise, note if the "hiccup" occurs consistently around the same RPM's (i.e. 3,500 to 4,000).

Did Ski's suggestion help?

I had the same problem with my stock engine. The dealer changed the fuel pump and I haven't had a problem since. In fact, it feels more responsive than when I bought it.[quote]ORIGINAL: Black06GT40324
