I am not going fall into a controversy over which is better manuel or auto all I can say is test drive both. And another thing you cannot compare any previous model Mustang auto to the one in the S197 there is absolutely no comparison.

it's a sports car and especially with the GT/CS package you have to get a manual but i've owned two S197s one a v6 the other my GT now and have never had a problem with either clutch nor transmission

I do lots of driving in the city, New York City that is. Nothing but traffic, it sucks. Stick is the only way to go. This is my first manual I can't imagine having just as much driving enjoyment without it.
As RICVA05 has mentioned, test drive each type and decide what is best for you.

Unless you seriously mod your car, stay away from the auto. I was VERY disapointed when I got my auto. It was a pig even with the CAI and predator.
It's a different story now.

- Painted Gauge pod/ Boost Gauge/Air fuel/Oil pressure

Alright, I don't know if some of you remember ... But I made a post a few weeks ago about the Mustang GT/CS. About all I have left to decide on this car is whether I want a manual or an auto. Isn't there something wrong with the Manuals? Something electrical, can't remember what it is but I think it involves the clutch???

What do you reccomend for ALOT of city and highway driving, Auto or Manual? I will likely never take this car to the track, and will definately not mod the engine. The most I am going to do is 5% tint.

I agree with the above post in not trying to call which is best; and I certainly second the comment that driving the new Mustang manual is so much easier than driving the previous model manuals. The new Stang's ergonomics for the driver and the manual shifter itself is far superior IMO. I do a lot of urban driving with mine, and no problems with the manual at all.
