Default Flowtech Headers Any Good?

Flowtech 12116 - Ford Mustang Headers 2005 - 2007 [12116] $170.32
Found these dirt cheap. Are they any good? What HP gain? How long will they last?

I'm wondering the same. They're made by Holler (who makes Hooker), and I assume are the same design. According to the specs, they are cermaic coated and are made of the same stuff as the Hookers. I can only assume they're made in China or Taiwan or somewhere like that to make them so cheap.

You get what you pay for, every expierence i have had with Flowtech headers has been VERY bad. They typically don't fit well and they will rust very quick. Don't even associate Flowtech and Hooker just because they are both owned by Holley doesn't mean anything, thats like comparing a Geo and a Caddilac and expecting the same quality because they are both GMs or a Festiva and an Aston Martin Vantage because both are produced by Ford.

From past experiance I will only go with headers that are SS, Even with Ceramic Coating I would not bother with the cheaper steel.
The time it takes for the install or if you have a shop do it (Cost) compared with going to a cheap header is not worth it.

Most cheap headers fit like crap and have leak issues. So you are adding a couple hours at the least to do the install vs a set of good headers that fit perfectly.
Then if the cheap headers rust or a weld breaks (Fairly common on cheap headers) you have to go thru the uninstall and then install them all over again.

Mac gives a warranty on the non SS ceramic headers they sell, but they don't cover the labor. So if you save $500 by not going with quality SS and then they break the added cost to remove and install would be over that of the good headers in the first place.
