ORIGINAL: Archion

The main problem I have read on using 91 or 93 with out the tune is the excess carbon buildup on the plugs, making them damn near impossible and dangerous to pull, I have not expreianced this yet, but have read it many times. If you car is pinging on 87 and is tuned for 87, try a diff brand of gas, if that doesnt work take her back to the stealer and have them reflash it.
That's just it, if it's pinging that means the timing's advanced more than it should be for 87. So we should be able to run 91, eliminate the ping, AND not kill the plugs because in essence we'd be running the "proper" octane for that state of timing advance the stock tune has.

Make sense?

I've always used 93, car runs great with zero problems. I am going to get an SCT 93 tune (for Christmas I hope).
