Default 2-step rev limiter?

Does anyone have a 2-step rev limiter enabled. How sweet would it be to pull up at a light or at the track and drop the hammer before dropping the hammer...if you know what i mean?

Maybe a 3.5k first step with clutch depressed, drop it and run to 6.5k and keep grabbin gears.

Is this doable with the SCT2?

P.S. My XCAL and JLT are on the way....I'm so freakin excited. All I can say is I better not be disappointed after hearing all the crap you guys talk about this stuff.

Stock setup alraedy has that. Just push on the gas with the clutch in while standing still, engine will bounce off the needle at 3.5K and cuts out when your underload at ~6250K or somewhere thereabouts.

I wondered the same think. Stock it works, but with a (my) Brenspeed tune it doesn't. It'll rev to what ever your max RPM is set to with clutch in. On mine anyway. I tried bringing down the neutral RPM with the SCT but that didn't work either. I set neutral to 3.5 and even in gear it only reved to 3.5. I think you have to use SCT's "Extreme Tune" to activate this. I haven't had the guts to download and start messing with it.

Stock has it? There must be a lot of requirements then. My guess is you need to be completely stopped, in first gear, clutch to the floor with one eye closed and a smile on your face. How come I've never noticed this before?...or heard of it? Can anyone confirm this is for real? I spose I could wait til lunch to find out....but you got me curious.

Leaving at 3500 on the street will do nothing but cause wheel spin, on street tires you are going to have to pedal the car anyways if trying to leave hard so basically this is pointless for the street.

Shortbus...that's understandable, but if the tuner made it adjustable them you could really come up with some CONSISTENT launches. I'd still be happy have a 3.5k over nothing.....of course there will be some feathering of both pedals involved.
