Just take note.........if you do some lowering springs in the rear of your car only (not an all around drop), you may find yourself getting flashed by oncoming drivers a heck of alot more. Especially if you drive with both sets of lights on all the time. So if you do this kind of suspension mod, you may want to look into redirecting your lamps downward to offset the angle back effect you'll be inducing.

Ktown makes a good point. I use mine most of the time too. Besides, I don't want somebody thinking I'm driving a V6 because they don't see the foglights.

One thing to consider for those who only use fog lights and not head lights at night. Because they are closer together, this may cause other drivers to think you are farther away than you actually are. Therefore they may pull out of intersections or make left turns in front of you. This simple act (fog lights and no head lights) can shift liability against you in an accident. Like I said before "Sometimes being cool is being the fool."

I too like to run with both headlights and fogs on, but most of the time at least one oncoming driver will flash me. I've seen other Mustangs driving around and they're really not that bright. I wonder if it's the fact that there are four lights that makes people think they are high-beams? Do you think my fogs are adjusted improperly?

I would bet anything its because they see 4 lights and assume you have high beams on. I think there adjusted fine.

Just to add to my earlier post, I think another reason that I only use the fogs is because I rarely drive my car at night. My fogs come on at the hint of the sun going down and 95% of the time I'm back at home before dark. FYI

I get A LOT of flash backs from cars when i have all 4 lights on.. They think i have Brights on or sumthing until i flash them back with my High beams

But i do this when its getting dark but not fully dark... Just turn on ur fog lights and not ur head lights.. your fog lights with the parking lights looks pretty sweet on the GT's.

I've had people tell me driving at dusk and dawn that it looks badass with just the fogs. When it is dark all four go on. The stock bulbs suck enough as it is, the more the better.

I have never heard of it being illegal to drive with factory fog lights on. It is illegal in many (all?) stats to drive with high beams and fog lights on, which is why the shut off when you switch to high beams. Manufacturers are pretty good about making vehicles street legal.

As for when to use them? I use my headlights + fogs when driving on roads that don't have street lights. There are a lot of two-lane roads where I live and it gets pretty dark. It helps a lot, especially seeing smaller critters along side the road. Around town with street lights, it's harder to see the difference, IMHO.

I'm still trying to get used to the turn signal clicker/sound. Lots of comments on that from passengers.
