Yea really, I'm not gonna vote because I bought it for the looks AND the power. You need to add that option up there.

35K for a new GTO?.........forget that.

You really can't call 300 hp RAW hp in a car like this in this day and age. But it was the cheapest 300hp stock new car I could think of and its just a good deal all around. Fast, easily upgradeable, good looks, comfortable, and just plain bad ***. Yeah the S197 will be down on power compared to the new Camaro and challenger, but it won't cost me 40k like the big "hemi" challenger and it will look a thousand times better than the new camaro( I like there interior though).

I think what my favorite part will be when the new camaros and challengers come out thinking they're going to smoke all these mustangs. But, by the time they do that I hope to have a blower involved in the matter. It should make a lot of camaro/challenger guys a little unhappy. I won't take anything from em though. If they can get a 400hp camaro for the same price....it's gonna be real tough on the mustang. Although if you have to spend $40k for the challenger, you're gonna look silly when a guy spending 30-35k on a mustang with a blower throttles you.

I bought mine for both the looks and power factor. If looks and/or power alone were the only criteria, as some here have eluded, then I/they would have bought a V6 and not a GT. I like my vert which is a bit more expensive and not made for the track but it does draw a lot of attention. I had a wicked fast bike but once I got this car I enjoyed riding around with the top down better. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't have someone say, "nice car" or the like. Just a few hours ago I just filled her up with gas when a guy and his girlfriend pulled up on the other side of the pump. They were headed inside the store when the chick said, "I love your car. It's beautiful." I can imagine what the boyfriend was thinking to himself LOL. If only I were single goes through my mind over and over again LMAO.

The GTO yes is fast factory but the price is high and there is no vintage look at all, it looks like the rest of the new cars. Try to make that ugly pig look good.

Well maybe it is because I am young, and i use to think (im use to it now) That the new mustang was insane-ly fast....Because I went from a grand am SE 4 door 3.4 L v6 auto with 170 HP...to a 5 speed 300HP v8. SO i thought the majority of people thought the same, guess i was wrong. But thats what i voted for and thats what i love about it!!
