Yea, the speed network did a special on the AMGs. Pretty sweet considering it's a SEDAN!

I rented a C06 vette for my wife on her birthday(she frickin loves the new styling). I was pretty impressed with it overall.

They are definitely powerful machines. I have not been humbled like that yet in my new 'stang, not really anything around here that exotic. But i had a similar expirience, my parents live in Watkins Glen New York and any one who knows racing has probably heard of it. During a sports car weekend there I was driving my Cougar XR7, thinkin I was fast. That is until a Ford GT blew by me like I lokced up the brakes. Afterwards i thought to myself I am glad he beat me so bad.

I think all the 55 AMG cars with exception to the SL have 469HP and 516ft/lbs torque thanks to a 5.5L Supercharged AMG V8. The SL55 has more power somehow. The CL is pretty heavy so that would explain a GT hanging with it untill 70. But after 70 that blower rear's it's head and its good bye.

i'm pretty sure amg is like svt is to ford.i looked them up a few months ago and the slowest one has like 355 horses all the way up to over 600.theres like 6 to 8 of them.some are v8 supercharged.
