I had a bit of time to kill this morning, running errands and went to out local Sebring Ford dealer. They have a red Ford GT sitting out front, list at $166,600 something. Just sitting out there in the front row in the elements.. rained hard here last night and this morning....

I went in an asked about the Shelby GT 500. None there, hard to find, list at $46+, but most dealers are adding $15 - 20K on top of list.

So a new GT at $27K, you could put a fair amount of mods on there for the extra $40K. The sale manager agreed.... buy you pay for the snake.....

Just a bit of info...

Make me appreciate what I have all the more.

the gt 500 is definitely sexy and not to say i wouldnt buy one if i could i just dont think its worth it. theyre going for around 60k. at a price like that i have to be honest and say i would go with a new corvette z06. i think it looks amazing, it makes the same power numbers, its much lighter and it handles like a dream.

A local dealer here in Ca has a Gt500 priced at 115,000. They had a sweet saleen extreem at 91,000 and it had 545hp. Simply sweet..

my local dealer had 2 so far and sold them for 20K over the sticker. They are suppose to get 5 in total but like you said, I would by a GT, spend half the difference and it would be just as fast!!!!!
