I am new to this forum. so PLEASE bear with me. I own a 2005 GT. I bought it wrecked and I am in the final stages of the rebuild. I put a new drivers air bag and a new RCM and a new front impact sensor. My question is does the ECM contain a crash code for the RCM. And if so do I have to take it to a dealer to have the ECM reflashed. Also can anybody tell me the correct autotrans fluid to refill my transmission with. I will post pics of my rebuild soon. If all of the faults in the restraint system are repaired the air bag lamp will prove out and turn off. You should be able to clear the RCM of codes by disconnecting the battery. Your transmission uses MERCON V (Mercon 5) fluid.
