My 2007 GT has almost 500miles and I want to change oil before my regular oil changes. What brand would you recommend. I think I will not use synthetic yet. I am sure there are different opinions on diferent brands and there is no one answer to this question so what should I avoid?

Dealer oil. Motorcraft synthetic blend...or some crap like that (that's what came with your ride)

I have no idea what's in the engine now but I doubt it is a synthetic.

Valvoline is the only oil I have ever used and will ever use. But this is like asking which is better a Ford or a Chevy (Ford of course).

If I wasn't going to use synthetic (I use Mobil 1) I'd use Castrol GTX.

The factory oil is Motorcraft 5w20 Synthetic blend.

id run mobile 7500 synthetic blend first, that way you can still let everything set right and let the motor finish getting broken in, then when thats done fully switch over to full synthetic, mobile 1 or royal purple are both good, go with what ever is cheaper, use a K&N oil filter
