Synthetics in general will create less friction inside your engine than conventional oils. Less friction=more horsepower. It's not in your head. However, we're only talking maybe 5-10 hp.

1 hp is optimistic. If regualar oil allowed that much friction you would werar out a motor in a week.
Hell even Mobil makes no claims to HP gains ( http://mobiloil.com/USA-English/Moto.../Homepage.aspx ). The main difference is how long the oil lasts before it breaks down & how clean the oil is compared to natural produts when new.

Hot Rog mag will say that abouty almost any producrt if u pay them enough. The real proof is to dyno before & after. Those results say little or no diff inany of the synthetics, incl Royal Purple. All the syns are about the same except you pay more for the RP. Then RP pays Hot Rod mag more to say 10 hp. Dont they endorse the tubonator also?

Mobile 1 is 1st class oil, but don't think you'll feel any difference. What you will feel is satisfaction knowing you have as good an oil as $ can buy and that my friend is insurance. I've run it in all my cars & bikes including mt 300 plus RWHP turbo/Nitrous ZX12 Kawasaki streetbike. I know how hot that turbo gets & the same oil that lubes it, lubes the rest of my motor so I want the best protection possible. Over 11,000 miles of hard riding in extremely hot Tennessee summers without issue. Plus you know a bike like that spins 12,000 RPM so there is no room for error. Good stuff = insurance, but its not a power adder[:-]
