Steering wheel shimmy
So i got my car about 3 months ago and about 1 month ago i noticed that once i reach 40 mph my steering wheel starts to shake a little. I can really fell it when i go above 70. I reset the air pressure in the tires to 35 PSI and the problem still persists. Any clues as of what this can be. Thanks Guys.

i've got the same problem in my brand new 07 with factory wheel and tires. even went to discount tire and had them balance them and it still persists.
it's not a huge shimmy to where it's bothersome but you can feel it and see it. just kinda miffed it's there.

My salesman told me there might be a shimmy for the first 100 miles because of flat spots in the tires and there was, but it dissappeared and hasn't returned in the last 4,000 miles.
Try rotating your tires and see if that helps.

A shake is either front tires out of balance, out of round, a wheel not ceeted against the hub properly. It could be a number of things. If your car was sitting in the same spot at a deler too long the tire may have developed a flat spot. My car has only 800 miles on it and drives without a hint of a shake, it rides pefect.

RE: Steering wheel shimmy
My car's done that since I picked it up. I never bothered to go to the dealer about it because the problem goes away once the tires are warmed up. I figure I'll be putting new tires on it eventually so no biggie. If the balance were off the shimmy + vibration wouldn't go away after warming. I think it's an out of round issue since it only does this after sitting overnight.
