Default 3V Crane Cams

I think this maybe too soon / new to ask if any one has found these instock yet.
All Stages 1-4 require Springs.
Stage 3&4 require higher compression.
Stage 2/3/4 require dished pistons OR removal of the Phazer timing retard OR Custom tune.
I wonder who the Custom tune Guinea Pig will be (Not Me)

Geezzz look at the lift and durations.

Here are Crower numbers.

And the Comp Cams.

Comp cams tells you the nessecary improvements needed.
Check RPMOUTLET.COM then go to Comp Cams 05 4.6 3v.
Also I just post wanting to know about prooven gains on these so watch that as well.

This is wrong information, at least for the Comp Cams.

None of them require dished pistons, changes in compression, or anything involving the Phasers.

They do, however, requrie springs.

Brenspeed has a writeup on the stage 3s. Visit their website then click the "Tech" link.

Several people on m o d u l a r f o r d s have them on their cars. There's at least one guy with stage 4s, and a few with stage 3s. None of them did anything other than swap cams and springs and then dyno-tuned.

If you look at the specs comparing the Crane grinds to the Comp Cams you can see where the Crane would require more mods than the Comp cams. Look at the lift on the 2,3,4 Crane cams, that much lift will most likely cause valve to piston clearance problems in a stock motor.

Sorry my post wasn't clear.

I was talking about the COMP CAMS. I edited it a bit, hopefully that will be less confusing.

You are right, the Crane are more extreme.

I guess I wasn't clear either. My post subject is 3V Crane Cams. I was repeating only what Crane has in their Ad (Pistons, Compression etc...)
My point was / is that the Cranes are too radical in lift for me to consider using (I'm not doing a full rebuild, Dropping Phazers, Trusting a tune).
I threw the Comp and Crower in for everyone to compare.
I've looked at Brenspeed and bought some of his stuff to include tunes, he's a reputable person.
