We need something FUN to talk about!
Here's my discussion starter. What will you do in a few years when chevy and dodge bring out their 400hp+ sports cars? Also, the mustang will get a new look and powertrain by then. Who's gonna jump on a new stang? or switch to chevy or dodge? Who's going to be happy with what they have? Who's going to add some extra power to their current car to really ****-off the new camaro owners?
Me, I think I'll go with the latter. Hopefully by that time I'll be close to having the car paid for and in line for a blower/turbo. Plus, it will make a little better financial sense to hang on to this one for a while.
Let's hear what you guys think.

I think i'll take the latter option too. Nothing will make me happier to eat a new Camaro with an older mustang. I plan on starting mods this summer since my warranty has run out and ill make a little money this summer( i'm a college student). I'll be honest i want to hold on to my stang forever. Hopefully when I'm old and gray the neighborhood kids will be talking about that old man with that cherry 05 Mustang Gt that lives down the street.

For me it will allways be money "lack of" that will make those decisions. I have 7.000 miles on my 07 GT and I knew when I bought it Dodge was going to come out with the Challenger, Chevy maybe the Camero. But I couldnt wait, and if I could have waited I dont think I could easily afford either car. I plan on keeping my 07 for as long as possible, and will never change the body panels to look like something else, it will allways look original and clean on the outside, and I'll spend my money on performance and handling to make it bad to the bone.
Ive' done the breenspeed tune "93 octane" and have the C&L CAI and a set of Pypes Violators to round it off for now, and im very very happy with the results. Since I have all my life "till 4 months ago" been a Mopar man, and had nothing but Dodges and Plymouths, the new Challenger will have my attention, since I owned a 70 440 RT my self. Mustangs are in a class to them selves, and will allways be so in my oppinion. There is a lot to be said for that magic that I feel when I drive my Stang. I'll never give that up for any other car.

I don't care if there is a more powerful car out there, I don't care if there is a new mustang out there, all I know is I LOVE my car and therefore will be keeping it. If it ever gets to the point where my engine dies or something like that, I am going to turn it into a project car and do a 100% overhaul on it. Do some of the crazy crap you hear about like the V12 Vanquish engine being put in it, but not until my car as I know it today is prety much dead.

Some of us aren't as lucky as Wally. To already have a blower. I'll be curious to see how quickly these new camaros are modded. With 400hp stock and a lot more displacement than us, they should be able to make some big power with a little boost. I won't take anything from 'em either. We're all car guys that like power.
