Default X or H Pipe

i am kinda new to mustangs, and i want an offroadmid pipe. my buddy told me that the offroad h-pipe sounds better because it is a deeper sound than the x-pipe. i have heard an x-pipe before and it sounded kinda crapy. like it crackled and stuff. so i need help deciding on which one to get. any help would be appreciated.

H-Pipe for sound, and a little HP gain.
X-Pipe for +6 RWHP and worse sound.

I plan on getting SLP Loud Mouths and a O/R H-Pipe.

just remember that you won't have any cats with an off-road pipe. if you want to pass inspection, you'll have to put a catted pipe back on.

Mac also make a prochamber which is another option to the X or H pipe dilemma. They all sound different so I would suggest you try to hear some cars with different systems installed and pick what you like best.

I have the MagnaFlow catted X-pipe with headers and there is no raspy noise... sounds awesome!

Smell was so bad for meI went back to stock after a week. Fumes were way too strong and gave methrobbing headache. However, I had a 93 lx 5.0 vertwithout cats and had no problems with fumes.

I have not seen the gains to make the emmisions headaches worth while. I just am not into dropping my exhaust system every 4 years.
