Crazy Al is just about right on, I've got all the mods except the charge motion delete plates. Last time I had mine dyno'ed it come in at 308.11rwhp that is without the al.driveshaft and electric water pump. I'm going to wait for the FAST new intake and see if it puts out anywhere near what they're preliminary claims are. 40 h.p. I'll believe it when I see it. If it is even half that, I'll put it on.

CMCP deletes are a mod that removes some secondary butterfly valves from the intake tracts on your engine. The kit is about $100, and it requires a tune.

You can read more about it here: http://mustang50magazine.com/techart...mrc_delete_kit

...keep in mind that's an old article. The best source now is FRPP, they are only $90.

As for the headers, you want to make sure you buy LONGTUBE headers. The shortys aren't worth it. All the brands of longtubes are very similar in performance. Unfortuantley, Hooker are about the cheapest you can get. The better brands are Dynatech, Kooks, and American Racing. Any of those will set you back $1000-1500 depending on options.

The driveshaft is a 30 min job. Longtube headers are about 5 hours for a competent mechanic. CMCPs are about 45 min.

You guys have been much help in schooling me on upgrades. I am very greatful. Now the only question for me is what next. I did the tune and the CAI,and I'm seeing the headers are the most expensive thing to bolt on so I might save them for last. I understand you have to release the engine from the mounts,SCARY,for me anyway. Ill pay a guy. Im gonna go look at brenspeed for some toys since he did my tune. He said if I buy from him upgrade tunes are free.400 crank power is good for me that should put 340 to the tires.

Yea, 30 minutes on a lift with air tools. Lay on your back in a driveway and get the stocker out in 30 min. What a BS design the thing is. Way to much engineering, and way to many nuts and bolts that sockets won't fit on without long extensions and swivels. I have done two of them now. Niether was quick getting the original out. But the new one piece was in in 15 minutes on both cars. I have CMDP's and did it myself in the driveway in about 1.5 hours. Wasted a lot of time studying everything prior to turning a wrench. If I had known the job it would have been a 30-45 min install.
