well, i just decided to remove my factory mufflers and leave it that way and it would be exhactly like SLP loud mouths. well, it took me 1 hour to remove the mufflers.. mufflers itself dont move without removing those little 2 holes that 2 piece of metal goes through them to hold the muffler tight. it was biatch to remove those but finally done and i drove the car, i think i LIKE the sound it is LOUD!!

so anyone drives around like this? also any performance loss without mufflers?

haha. post some sound clips of that! the only problem with that would be, it looks funny without the tips in the cutouts of the bumpers. i almost did this, but was thwarted as i did not have the proper tools, and thought "this is gonna be a bitch to get back on."

shouldn't be much performance lost, if any.

well, it might look weird but it does sound like steve mcqueen's bullit.. i will just go ahead and buy a couple mufflers then..

I did it for a few days while I was waiting for my muffler shop appt. It is certainly loud, but actually sounds pretty bad without tailpipes and tips. I had them weld on a few custom bent pipes with my choice of tips with the stock hanger locations, and now it sounds killer. I would highly recommend doing it this way. It's basically a poor mans loudmouth.

i put the mufflers back on.. it was freaking pain!

Yeah I drove around without mufflers for about a month. I loved the sound most of the time. Under a lot of load though, the drone was almost unbearable. The empty holes in the bumper looked stupid so I decided to put the mufflers back on. Maybe some day I'll get the SLP's.
Also, why should there be performance loss? Wouldn't it breathe better?

i took mine off my maro, it did wonders for preformance, backpreasure is a myth

just go to autozone and get a 1' extender tail pipe for $2 and clamp it on[8D]

i did take sound clip but it is HORRIBLE.. my cameraphone is 3 years old and you know the technology on celphones 3 years ago.. if you wnat i can post the video but belive me, you will hate the sound quality..( it gets better at the end a little)
